If you are searching for something fun to do this weekend, survey says Royal Family Kids has a fun idea to help raise funds.
Royal Family Kids will host a Family Feud event starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at Legacy on the Bricks, 16 W. 21st St., in Kearney.
Melissa Elstermeier, director of Royal Family Kids, said the event will feature four teams competing with two going head-to-head, followed by another two teams and a championship round.
“The teams are in costumes and are excited to be on stage,” she said. “We will also have a few opportunities for interactive speed rounds with the audience. Tickets to the Royal Family Feud gets you in the doors to see the entertainment as well as a nice meal.”
The funds raised will go towards a camp that is held annually that is for 7 to 11-year-old children that have been abused, neglected, and are in foster care.
Elstermeier said: “Kids in foster care are statistically more likely to end up as incarcerated, pregnant as teens, dropping out of high school. If we can provide meaningful caring relationships, they are more likely to change that trajectory and they won’t end up as that statistic.”
