A food delivery driver in Washington, D.C., has shared an unusual order drop-off when he was sent to an FBI field office.
In a viral video on TikTok with over 7 million views, delivery rider Joshua Cavallero came face to face with an FBI security guard at the building.
When he arrived, Cavallero noticed the barrier was raised and decided to ask security a lighthearted, but serious question: “What if I flew in there when it was down? Would I get blasted?”
The security guard responded “Yeah, but we would also chase you.”

Amused but still curious, Cavallero continued: “Oh really? You’d chase me before you’d shoot me? Not that I’m going to try!”
The guard then shared an eye-opening anecdote about a recent incident where someone actually did drive into the restricted area—just to use the bathroom. According to the guard, the person didn’t realize they had entered an FBI facility and ended up being arrested for trespassing. “She got charged fully,” the guard confirmed.
Realizing there was no way he could complete the delivery, Cavallero called the customer, who soon realized he had accidentally entered his work address instead of his home. The customer generously told Cavallero to keep the food and enjoy the meal.
Newsweek reached out to the FBI via email out of normal working hours.
Cavallero is a seasoned bike courier with nearly three years of experience delivering in the D.C. area, and has been sharing his delivery adventures on TikTok @bikingdc, where he now has hundreds of thousands of followers.
“My reaction when I arrived was that it was going to be a good video,” Cavallero told Newsweek. “Whenever there is an obstacle or something that prevents a smooth delivery, it makes for a good video.”
While the delivery to one of the country’s most secure buildings seemed shocking, for Cavallero, it was just another day on the job: “I’ve dealt with so many different government buildings and security guards that you start to know what to expect after a while,” he said.
As for the unexpected address mix-up, Cavallero said these situations often end one of two ways: either the customer lives close enough to receive the delivery at their correct address, or the courier gets a free meal. “I have had this happen a few times. Sometimes I’ve been able to drop it off, and other times… I just ate it.”
