A popular Food Network TV show will highlight two “unbelievable” Upstate New York restaurants this week.
Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives: Triple D Nation” will showcase Eva’s European Sweets in Syracuse and the Blackthorn Restaurant & Pub in Buffalo on Friday night. The episode (“From Tots to Turkey Logs”) will premiere Feb. 28, at 9 p.m. on the cable channel.
“…A premier Polish spot in Syracuse is going strong, dishing out unbelievable blueberry pierogies and melt-in-your-mouth meatballs, and an Irish pub in Buffalo has really taken off, serving top-notch tots and cheddar-y chicken,” the episode description says.

Other restaurants visited in the past by the “mayor of Flavortown” include Syracuse favorites like Pastabilities, Kitty Hoynes, Funk ‘n Waffles, and Byblos Mediterranean Café, plus The Lake Effect Diner and Sophia’s Restaurant in Buffalo.
