For our Southern California Car Show Report, Week 8 of 2025, Scot S. takes us on another adventure. This time to Pelican Parts in Los Angeles County’s South Bay. Specifically in Harbor City, California. They feature service of European cars and aftermarket parts. But they’ve amassed a pretty cool collection of stuff too. Below is what Scot has to show and tell:

On Saturday we went to the Pelican Parts Open House and I was surprised by the high end cars. Parking was at a premium and even right at the start we had to park a block away. Walking up, we encountered a side lot first but at least we could tell we were at Pelican parts. The main focus was on Porsche but I liked that there was a Datsun 2000 here.
Inside the main warehouse were a series of vendor tables and one very happy, if shaggy, unofficial greeter. (Okay, I love dogs. Deal.)
Past the vendors – and the free tacos out back – was a great ’60 Impala – obviously banished from all the eurotrash.
But you had to walk around all this to find the real gem, the collection of race cars and automobilia that were in the next building. Again, largely Porsche, but a lot of IMSA and SCCA racers. And MORE, automobilia, specialty cars and even a military vehicle – not sure if it qualifies as a tank or armored car or something else, but there it is.

PS. And the fun stuff wasn’t all inside. In a street lined with a herd of Porsche this Lexus stood out to me.
