30+ food trucks to be at weekend’s Charleston Food Truck Festival

Head to the Navy Yard this weekend for the 12th annual Charleston Food Truck Festival (CFTF). It will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 1 and March 2.

Held at Building 64 at 2301 Noisette Blvd., the event is free to attend and will feature more than 30 trucks from South Carolina and Georgia. Participating food trucks include Dave’s Smoke & Tacos, Lola’s Lumpia, The Pita Stroller, My Big Fat Greek Trailer and Area 51 Foods.

The event will also include four bar areas that serve cocktails, beer, CBD beverages and nonalcoholic drinks. There also will be local vendors, carnival rides and live entertainment.

The first CFTF was held in 2011 with five food trucks on Spring Street. Since then, the festival has grown to include a variety of local and regional trucks and has bopped around various Lowcountry venues.

This year, bar sales will be donated to CFTF’s partner and nonprofit organization, The Livity Foundation, which, according to its website, “is committed to making a positive impact in the world through its fundraising efforts.”
