Woman arrested after videos show her urinating on store food products, prompting recalls

A New Hampshire woman has been arrested after police said she posted “disturbing videos” of herself online contaminating a store’s food products by urinating on them, prompting a recall of more than a half-dozen items.

According to the Keene Police Department, an investigation into the case began on Valentines Day when the agency received an anonymous tip about an online content creator, later identified as 23-year-old Kelli Tedford, posting videos to an internet site showing her pee on products at Monadnock Food Co-Op.

The city of Keene is in Cheshire County in the southwestern portion of the state.

“We immediately reviewed store video, identified affected products, removed them from our shelves and sanitized all surfaces,” Monadnock released in a statement posted on its website.

According to a news release from the Keene-based company and information from police, the incident took place on Feb. 10 and caused more than $1,500 in loss to the store.

On Friday, police arrested Tedford on a felony criminal mischief charge in connection to the case.

Police said Tedford was released from custody on her own recognizances and was slated to be arraigned in court on April 7.

On Tuesday, Tedford was not listed as in inmate online with the Cheshire County Department of Corrections.

It was not immediately known whether Tedford had obtained an attorney.

During the investigation, police wrote in release, “numerous additional videos of Tedford” were reviewed by detectives.

“At this time, it appears likely that similar historic incidents occurred in Keene and surrounding communities where Tedford contaminated items and/or surfaces with urine, as several videos appear to be recorded as early as 2021,” the agency wrote.

Additional charges are potentially pending, police said.
