Adaptive Sports Expo Is Day of Celebration for Burbank

In 2003, the work of the Triumph Foundation came to the attention of the Burbank Parks and Recreation Department through the Burbank Advisory Council on Disabilities. Enthusiastic about what the foundation was doing, advisory council members brought the two entities together to discuss a partnership that resulted in Burbank’s inaugural Adaptive Sports Expo held at McCambridge Park in February of last year.

This past Saturday, for the second time, parks and recreation staff, led by Deputy Director Diego Cevallos and Recreation Supervisor Noah Altman, and the event committee staged the second expo under the guidance of Marisa Garcia, the department’s director.
