Police: Keene woman arrested for contaminating food with her urine at grocery store

A Keene woman is in custody for contaminating food at a New Hampshire grocery store with her urine and posting videos online, police said.The Keene Police Department said Kelli Tedford, 23, was arrested on Friday. Authorities said she was charged with felony criminal mischief.Keene police said Tedford posted videos online of her contaminating food and surfaces with her urine at the Monadnock Food Co-op in Keene and surrounding communities as early as 2021.In response to the investigation, the Monadnock Food Co-op issued a recall of several organic foods, including quinoa, cornmeal, polenta, coconut shreds and raw walnuts. The affected items were immediately removed from the grocery store.The grocery store said no fresh produce, meat, seafood, prepared foods or refrigerated products were affected. Anyone who purchased these items is asked to dispose of it and come to the Monadnock Food Co-op for a refund. Authorities said the Monadnock Food Co-op lost about $1,500 in destroyed merchandise and cleaning costs.Tedford was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear at the 8th Circuit Court in Keene for arraignment on April 7.
