
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – This week’s restaurant scores are in!
Wendy’s scores 88
Wendy’s located on 3639 Victory Drive in Columbus scored an 88 on a recent health inspection. The inspector noticed the following violations:
- No paper towels at handwashing sink in the main kitchen area near the 3-compartment sink
- French toast and biscuits in the walk-in freezer not properly sealed or covered to protect from overhead contamination
- Food employee without proper hair restraints
Plus, the most current inspection score, which was a 100, was not on display as required. That 100 was a follow-up score from September of last year after Wendy’s scored a 75 in August.
Chef Chang’s Asian Grill scores 90
An Asian cuisine restaurant in Columbus still scored an A after inspectors found two violations. According to the health department, Chef Chang’s Asian Grill on 6381 Milgen Road scored a 90 after inspectors noticed the following violations:
- Food pot stored inside the handwashing sink located in the main kitchen area
- Containers of raw beef, raw chicken, egg drop soup, and teriyaki sauce stored uncovered in the reach-in cooler in the main kitchen
On another note, a few restaurants in the Valley scoring perfectly this week:
- Taco Bell: 2932 Macon Road in Columbus
- Country Wings on 6959 Macon Road also in Columbus
- Firehouse Subs: 6539 Gateway Road in Columbus
