In celebration of “the sports that helped shape our nation,” the United States Mint will soon kickoff a four-year program featuring youth sports on American quarters.
In 2027, Americans will have a chance to see their favorite youth sports stamped on the back of the U.S. quarter, but in the meantime, they’ll have to vote on which sports get the honor of being on the flip-side of George Washington.

The U.S. Mint is asking people to take an anonymous survey to help determine what sports should be showcased.
The survey features 60 sports and gives voters the option of writing in a sport not listed. Options include anything from pickleball, fencing and rollerskating, to soccer, basketball and football.
Participants are asked to rank how appealing a quarter stamped with a given youth sport would be, ranging from “Not At All Appealing,” to “Highly Appealing.”

The U.S. Mint asks participants to answer each question thoughtfully, as responses will help determine the most popular youth sports to feature in the Youth Sports Quarter program.
