Continuing with more questionable claims, the insider stated that the main theme of Skyrim – dragons – will return in TES 6, which does sound like Bethesda just being Bethesda and trying to add recognizable elements from previous games to win over fans, without much thought about whether those elements might feel out of place, just like they did with the Enclave, Brotherhood of Steel, and super-mutants in Fallout 3.
Moreover, the upcoming game is said to borrow from Fallout 4, incorporating settlement-building mechanics, which in 2025 feels like a tedious feature tacked onto every open-world game just for the sake of it. On top of that, the report mentions that TES 6 will abandon classes for more natural progression, which is confusing considering that classes were already scrapped in Skyrim. Worst-case scenario, The Chalkeaters’ prediction about Bethesda getting rid of skill trees could come true, though it’s still too early to say for sure.
As a cherry on top, Extas1s proposes that Bethesda and Microsoft could showcase The Elder Scrolls 6 sometime in July this year, presumably with a new trailer, but once again, it’s still unknown.
