The Gayming Awards, the world’s only LGBTQ+ video game award show, is set to return for its fifth year — and it’s building on the success of its 2024 outing with the perfect broadcast partner.
Gayming Magazine, the British-based video game publication that launched its first-ever honors night in 2019, sealed the deal for a global broadcast on WOW Presents Plus, best known for its worldwide syndication of the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise — which parent company World of Wonder has produced since it began way back in 2009.
The event, which will air exclusively on July 8, 2025, is now accepting nominations, which can be submitted at Gayming’s website.
In line with its commitment to recognizing LGBTQ+ contributions in the gaming industry, the Gayming Awards 2025 has introduced two new categories: LGBTQ+ Voice Actor of the Year and the Community Impact Award. These additions aim to spotlight the achievements of voice actors and individuals or groups making a positive difference in the LGBTQ+ gaming community.

The 2024 Gayming Awards saw unsurprising success for rampant GOTY winner Baldur’s Gate 3, as well as the spectacular Thirsty Suitors, which was a top-three indie game of the year contender for me in 2023.

By partnering with WOW Presents Plus, Gayming Magazine and Awards creator Robin Gray hopes the event will reach an even broader audience, helping it continue to cement its place as the main event to bring both gaming and LGBTQ+ communities together.
