
LADSON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Black Food Truck Festival is returning this spring, combining food, live music, family-friendly activities and cultural celebrations into one three-day festival.
According to a release from the organizers, food has been a cornerstone of Black culture for centuries. They say that it plays a critical part in preserving traditions, fostering community, and sharing stories of resilience and heritage.
The Black Food Truck Festival is honoring this legacy by bringing together over 40 food trucks from across the Lowcountry.

Food trucks in attendance will be offering up everything from Black American soul food to West African delicacies, providing anything that a foodie could want.
Beyond the food, the organizers state that the festival aims to make a lasting economic and social impact, spotlighting and supporting Black-owned businesses.
Reportedly the Black Food Truck Festival contributed $10.3 million to the local economy in 2024, driving tourism, creating jobs, and generating significant revenue for vendors, food trucks, and surrounding businesses.

Attendees can look forward to on site entertainment including DJs, dancing, interactive experiences and live entertainment. There will also be craft artisans, various vendors, games and lounge areas.
The festival will be held April 25 through 27, at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. VIP passholders will gain an extra hour of early admission.
General admission tickets start at $15 and VIP passes start at $140.
