Columbus Food Truck Festival to return to Franklin County Fairgrounds in August

Organizers of the Columbus Food Truck Festival on Monday announced their return to the Franklin County Fairground this summer.

Now in its 14th year, the Hiliard Edition of the festival promises a culinary adventure with more than 50 gourmet food trucks from Ohio and the Midwest on Aug. 16-17.

Chas Kaplan, the festival’s co-organizer, expressed his excitement about the event’s return.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing the Columbus Food Truck Festival back for another year,” Kaplan said in a statement. “With so many delicious food options and fun activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

In addition to the food, attendees can explore offerings from more than two dozen artisans and crafters. The festival also will feature live music throughout the weekend on two stages.

While the complete lineup of food vendors, performers, and artisans will be announced later, festival-goers can plan their visit now. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17.

Tickets are available for $5 per person when purchased online in advance, or $10 online and at the door on festival days. Children 12 and under receive free admission but must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.

Guests are encouraged to buy tickets early, as organizers expect the event to sell out. Admission includes limited complimentary onsite parking, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional on-street parking will be available around the fairgrounds.

Tickets are on sale now at ColumbusFoodTruckFest.com.
