
The Buckeye Elks No. 2686 recently hosted the fourth annual Chief Bob Costello Car Show, showcasing around 40 vehicles. The event united car enthusiasts across the Valley and was a resounding success, generating funds for the Chief Bob Costello Vocational Scholarship.
The show had a variety of categories. The winners of the event included:

• First: 1940 Willy’s Coupe, Bob Wilson
• Second: 1967 Ford Mustang, Kim King
• Third: 1932 Ford Coupe, Steve Gonzales
Classic truck class
• First: 1965 Chevy C-10 Stepside, Ricky Guevara Sr.
• Second: 1972 w/68 Front Clip Chevy C-10, Justin Hice
• Third: 1985 KIO 4×4, Jose Morales
Modern class
• First: 2019 Dodge Ram 1500, Rod Fresquez

People’s choice

Guests dined on a tri-tip sandwich or hot dog lunch while taking in the sights of the entered vehicles. The organizers said, “A heartfelt thank you to all those who came out to help and support the show. It was truly a team effort that made the event, such a success.”
Proceeds benefit the Chief Bob Costello Vocational Scholarship, helping to support the next generation of vocational leaders.
