
A Marvel Rivals producer has said that the team is open to bringing the game to Nintendo Switch 2, and that developer NetEase is “working on some (Switch 2) development kits.”

Now, following the reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2, fans have speculated whether or not the game would come to the handheld platform, especially in the wake of the popularity of the Nintendo Switch [5,013 articles]” href=”https://www.videogameschronicle.com/platforms/nintendo/switch/”>Nintendo Switch version of Overwatch.
At the EA DICE [274 articles]” href=”https://www.videogameschronicle.com/companies/electronic-arts/ea-dice/”>DICE Summit in Las Vegas, IGN asked NetEase [94 articles]” href=”https://www.videogameschronicle.com/companies/netease/”>NetEase about the possibility of the game being ported to the new system.
“We’re already in contact with Nintendo [4,989 articles]” href=”https://www.videogameschronicle.com/platforms/nintendo/”>Nintendo and working on some development kits,” said Marvel Rivals producer Weicong Wu.
“And whenever we find that we could provide great performance for our game on Switch 2, we’re open to that. The reason why we didn’t launch it onto the Switch, it was the first generation of that device they cannot provide a great experience for our gameplay. So if it could achieve that goal, we’re open to that.”
At the time of publishing, few games have been confirmed for Nintendo’s next platform. A new Mario Kart game was shown off during the console’s reveal, but nothing is known about the game’s title, or any other details.
Some third-party developers have announced that their games will be coming to the “next Nintendo platform,” but developers have seemingly been hesitant to explicitly confirm titles for Switch 2.
