Avowed is now in the hands of players across the globe and as soon as players get started, one thought seems to cross their mind: I’m sure I recognize that voice. As it’s a fully-voiced RPG, there are plenty of voice actors from across the gaming world involved, but Kai in particular has made people sit up and take notice, as he shares a voice actor with another fan-favorite character in a different RPG series.
We’ll reveal as we break down the cast list for your four main companions in Avowed.
Brandon Keener is Kai

To put your curiosity to rest, the reason you likely recognize Kai’s voice is because Brandon Keener also plays Garrus Vakerian from the Mass Effect series. Keener has a long list of video game credits to his name, first appearing in Everquest 2 in 2004 and has since appeared in series like Red Dead Redemption and Persona.
Anjali Bhimani is Yatzli

Yatzli is one of the strangest and most visually striking characters in Avowed, and Anjali Bhimani does a great job of bringing her big personality to life. Bhimani has done voice work for a bunch of video games over the last decade, with her biggest role being Symmetra from Overwatch.
Mara Junot is Giatta

You’ve no doubt already heard Mara Junot’s voice in games before as she has loads of video game roles under her belt. To name just a few, she’s voiced Storm in Marvel Rivals, Sindel in Mortal Kombat, and Dr Slone in Fortnite, but perhaps her most prominent role to date is that of Shoola in Arcane.
Scott Whyte is Marius

Like the rest of the cast, Scott Whyte is no stranger to acting in video games. He’s contributed to a bunch of great series including Final Fantasy, Insomniac’s Spider-Man, and even The Sims. His biggest gaming role was as the voice of Carlos in Days Gone, which just had a remake announced in February’s State of Play.
