American consumers are expected to spend a record $27.5 billion on Valentine’s Day this year, according to the National Retail Federation.
And with the holiday falling on a Friday, restaurants and night spots are likely to get an extra boost in business on Feb. 14.

- Paddy’s Pub & Grill, 66 Broadway Mall in Hornell goes all out on Valentine’s Day. The menu includes a roasted red pepper tomato bisque and a crab cakes appetizer. - Railhead Brewery Company at 40 Park Drive is an exciting choice for a Valentine’s Day get-together. Try the in-house craft beer and pizza baked in a wood-fired oven. Check out the curbside menu for on the go orders.
- Racalto’s host a special Valentine’s Day dining experience in the Seneca Road North restaurant’s banquet room. Three-course meal for two is $78.95. Asian-style tossed salad in a peanut sauce dressing, main course is an eight-ounce filet mignon, roasted potato fingerlings and sautéed asparagus.
