Relatives identify 3 girls who died in Miami-Dade DUI crash

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Relatives identified the three girls and the woman who died in a crash that detectives said involved a drunk driver who was speeding.

The girls were 9-year-old Azaria McCall, 10-year-old Kamari Graham, and 11-year-old Ariana Johnson. The woman was Rosa Jones, their grandmother.

Surveillance video shows the crash on Saturday at Northwest 170th Street and 37th Avenue in Miami Gardens.

“Speed was a factor, alcohol was also a factor,” Miami Gardens Police Executive Officer Emmanuel Jeanty said.

Relatives said the girls’ 10-year-old brother and their mother were injured during the crash and remained hospitalized on Monday afternoon.

According to police, Antonio Wilcox, Jr. was driving the black Kia Sorento that plowed into a white Nissan Altima.

The Altima crashed into a gray Cadillac Escalade. Azaria, Kamari, Ariana, and Jones were in the Altima.

An Opa-locka police officer who was heading to work was among the witnesses. Another witness recorded a video after hearing the loud crash.

Good Samaritans rushed to help. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded.

Wilcox, 25, is facing five counts of vehicular homicide. On Monday, records did not show him as an inmate in Miami-Dade County.
