Ivan Juric spoke to BBC Radio Solent about Flynn Downes, who was left out of Southampton’s squad for their FA Cup defeat on Saturday: “During the transfer window we have lots of players who are always professional. Some players make mistakes. His attitude was not good [during the transfer window].

“[Jan] Bednarek refused a big offer for his life; he was still training and playing the games. That is what I expect from all players.

“It’s a little bit of a club problem.”
