A critical next-step towards a new, multi-tenant commercial venture on South Business Drive goes before Sheboygan’s Architectural Review Board today. The application is for a J-Mart gas station, liquor and convenience store, UPS Shipping Store, plus an additional Indian-cuisine restaurant to be built on a now-empty lot between Popeye’s and the Southtown Mall on South Business Drive.

Quasius Construction Company is being hired to construct the building, which would be similar to the recently-completed store at 26th and Superior, and the ongoing project at 15th and Geele Avenue. The value of the project is listed at $2.5 million, and is being touted as strengthening the City’s goal to promote “Complete Neighborhoods” with a mix of residences and beneficial service businesses.
No construction schedule was listed; the architectural review at 4 this afternoon is just one step toward final approval.
