Chrissy Teigen Defends Herself Against Social Media Trolls for Taking a ‘Coconut Milk Bath’ with 3 of Her Kids

Chrissy Teigen won’t stand for mom-shaming.

On Saturday, Feb. 8, the model and cookbook author, 39, shared an Instagram photo carousel featuring sweet moments with her four children — Wren Alexander, 18 months, Esti Maxine, 2, Miles Theodore, 6, and Luna Simone, 8 — whom she shares with John Legend.

“BAHHHHHHHHHHH,” she captioned the collection of snaps, which included the kids dancing in the back of the family car, as well as a painting crafted by her daughter.

However, the first photo in the set captured the most attention, as it showed a naked Teigen posing alongside her three youngest children in a bathtub.

Several commenters gushed that it was a relatable post for mothers, while others argued it was “weird” and the children deserve “privacy.”

Others, meanwhile, questioned Teigen about the color of her bath water.

“Why is she always in dirty bathwater?” one person wrote, to which Teigen hit back, saying, “It’s a coconut milk bath for sensitive skin but go off!”

Teigen’s recent post doesn’t mark the first time that she has divided opinions with her bath time routine. Last year, Legend, 46, shared a video on Instagram of his wife soaking off her “body makeup” in a tub.

As she used the Loved 01 exfoliating cleanser from his skincare line, the color of the water in the tub became a dark hue that shocked fans.

“Currently getting roasted online for being dirty because no one listened to the audio where I say I’m soaking off body makeup (to shower after!) 😂😭 , full blown fights in John’s comments,” Teigen captioned a post of the video shared on her own Instagram account.

She continued, “My favorite is ‘baths are not for bathing.’ I love a good old fashioned roasting though, u guys are killing it (it being never touching grass ever). Using my favorite @loved01skin exfoliator 🥰.”

Legend later chimed in the comment section, writing, “Baths are not for bathing is some amazing internet-ness.”
