Walmart shows appreciation for GA firefighters by delivering ‘big game’ food bundles

GEORGIA — Thousands of firefighters will be enjoying football tonight with some big-time snacks thanks to Walmart, which delivered 316 game-day meal bundles to over 100 firehouses across Georgia.

Walmart delivered over $20,000 worth of chicken wings, pigs in blankets, chips, dips, sodas, and more on Thursday and Friday.

Some of the fire stations to receive the donations included Alpharetta, Athens, Atlanta, Augusta, Elberton, Macon, Marietta, Morrow, Snellville, Norcross, and Union City, just to name a few.

The effort happened during Firefighter Appreciation Week, aiming to boost morale and show appreciation to those firefighters who won’t be able to watch the game at home.
