
SNELLVILLE, Ga. — Police in Gwinnett County are on the hunt for a suspect they said stole a vehicle that had two children inside.

Snellville police said you may have noticed a rise in police presence Saturday night in the area of Rockdale Circle.
According to officials, a vehicle was stolen from the CVS after being left running with two children inside.
Fortunately, the suspect ditched the vehicle nearby and the children were found safe and unharmed.

Police said a K9 unit tried to track the suspect but was unsuccessful. Authorities say there is no indication that the suspect is still in the area, as they were likely picked up by another vehicle.
No description of the suspect or vehicle was given.
Police ask residents to check their cameras between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Manley via email.
