The Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo hosted its “Crepe Cook-Off Contest.”The contest featured 10 kids from across the state to compete. The contestants were broken up into teams of two. They were allowed to create their own crepe with an hour time limit and were judged on food safety, creativity, visual appearance and taste. 16 WAPT’s Crystal Tisme was a judge for the event and got the chance to speak to the first-place winner, Henry Klein, “King Crepe” of Madison County. Klein says he spent three months practicing for the competition and is excited to be the winner. Klein won $75 for first place. The second place winner won $50 and the third place winner won $25. The crepe contest was hosted by the Mississippi Egg Marketing Board.
