How to find Brunswick’s armor from The Lion’s Crest DLC in Kingdom Come 2

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is tough for beginners, especially given that Henry is left with no armor or weapons to defend himself with after the prologue. Fortunately, if you spend a little more money to buy the game’s Gold Edition or the Expansion Pass, there’s a DLC quest called “The Lion’s Crest” that, upon completion, will reward you with a powerful armor set.

How To Start The Lion’s Crest Quest in KCD 2

The Lion’s Crest can be started as soon as Sir Hans Capon leaves Henry in Troskowitz following the prologue. Those who’ve purchased the Gold Edition/Expansion Pass will find the purple quest marker on the map beside the scribe.

Visit and interact with the scribe, and select the “Do you know where to get armour?” dialog option. You’ll be given a quick skill check to inquire about the mysterious Brunswick’s armor, which you can pass easily at this point in the game. The scribe will tell you the tale of the legendary armor, along with a riddle to kick things off. You’ll also receive a Brunswick’s Poleaxe Sketch from the Scribe, which can be crafted using a blacksmith’s tools at Radovan’s forge.

Brunswick’s Riddle Solution in Kingdom Come 2

The riddle that the scribe gives you is as follows:

“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunter’s gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind whom yearned for treasure lays. Between them stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armor gleaming still.”

You could try to figure out where that leads, but we’ve simplified the quest by marking the exact location of the treasure. The riddle points to a location north of the Trosky castle beside a bandit camp. You’ll find a chapel built inside an alcove between the rocky cliffs in this area. As you explore the area, Henry will recount the riddle, pointing you in the right direction.

Interact with the cross inside the chapel and Henry will dig up a treasure underneath it, if he’s equipped with a shovel. Loot the treasure box to find the following contents:

• Brunswick’s Dagger
• Brunswick’s Gauntlets
• Brunswick’s Map 1
• Brunswick’s Map 2
• Fine Wine
• Fragments from the Bible (skill book)
• 17 Groschen
• 2 Candles

Brunswick’s Map 1 Solution in Kingdom Come 2

Interact with Brunswick’s Map 1 that you got from the site and it’ll show you a treasure location marked by X near a couple of trees beside a wolf hunting spot. This location can be found north of Tachov in the forests beside a bandit camp. Once you reach the location, as shown in the map here, you’ll see a few wolves surrounding the spot.

After killing the wolves, you can loot the sack between two trees near a small opening under the cliff beside it.

Looting this sack will reward you with the following items:

• Brunswick’s chainmail coif
• Brunswicks’ plate leg armor
• Brunswick’s caparison
• Brunswick’s Map 3
• Beet
• Leek
• Turnip

Brunswick’s Map 2 Solution in Kingdom Come 2

The second map for Brunswick’s armor shows the treasure marked on a cross near Vidlak Pond, the same area where you hunt two poachers in the Bird of Prey quest.

Travel to Vidlak Pond and go behind the fisherman’s house beside a shrine, and you’ll find a cross atop a rock. Reach the cross by walking on the branch leading to it.

Interact with the cross to find the following items:

• Brunswick’s plate sleeves
• Brunswick’s Map 4
• Saviour Schnapps
• 3 Bandages

Brunswick’s Map 3 Solution in Kingdom Come 2

The third map shows a treasure marked by an X near a skeleton by a tree. You can head to the forest north of the Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn. You can find the location as marked on the map here.

Once you reach the location, you’ll find a skeleton lying beneath a tree along with a sack beside it. Interact with the sack to get all the rewards.

Here are the rewards you get from this location:

• Brunswick’s Brigadine
• 30 Apples
• Fine Wine

Brunswick’s Map 4 Solution in Kingdom Come 2

The final map to find the remaining pieces of Brunswick’s armor shows a treasure marked by an X near three crosses. The location of the treasure lies between Bozhena’s meadow and a nomads’ camp east of it.

Once you go beyond the meadow, you might come across some hostile nomads. Dispose of them and visit the camp marked on the map and you’ll find a giant cross atop a pile of rocks.

Interact with the cross to find the following items:

• Brunswick’s Bascinet
• Shrinking Die
• Worn Rosary

That’s it, you’ve found all the armor pieces of Brunswick, and you can enjoy fighting bandits and other enemies without having to worry about stats until you reach the wedding. Since you bought the Expansion Pass, you’ll also need to find the DLC reward items that come with it for an extra boost.
